The Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering and Technology(DIET) is well appreciated institute by industry and educational sector. The DIET is known for project based learning. The site of the Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering Technology campus is recognized for its pollution-free ambiance and surrounded by beautiful natural landscape. The site is part of the famous Sahyadri hill ranges and at the foot of historic fort Sajjangad, a well known icon. It was a residential place of great holy Saint Samarth Ramdas. The Institute offers five Degree engineering programmes (Regular Shift) and two Diploma engineering Programmes (Second Shift).

All engineering programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognized by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (DTE). For the academic year 2018-19 DIETs First Year Degree Programs and Second Year Degree Programs are affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. Third Year and Final Year Degree Programs are affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. Polytechnic (Diploma) programmes are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).

Considering the needs of modern age, it is proud to mention that, the DIET has established Centre of Excellence (CoE) in various technical areas in association with industries. The DIET has also established Incubation Centre in association with industry and technical experts. From inception, DIET has started value addition through in various programmes in association with industries and finishing school experts Teckskool, Pune. The institute has established NPTEL Local Chapter.

DIET has accepted the importance of the need based skill development and inculcated technical competency among the students for facing contemporary challenges. Research and development activities are prime requirements of technical education and career.DIET is contributing unreservedly in such activities. Since its inception,DIET has implemented myriad of best practices meticulously and has successfully inculcated the culture of true technical education among the students. The outcome of these practices are number of university rankers, national level awards and placements in reputed industries.

The institutes central library and modern digital library are enriched with books and study materials. The salient features of library facilities are spacious reading hall which is available to students for 24 hours and online access to international/national journals as well as several online academic resources.
